Do khí hậu nóng ẩm, nhiệt đới gió mùa, chịu ảnh hưởng của khí hậu đại dương và chia làm hai mùa rõ rệt. Mùa mưa từ tháng 9 đến tháng 12 và mùa nắng từ tháng 1 đến tháng 8, thích hợp nhiều loại cây lương thực và hoa màu như: lúa, bắp, đậu, rau, dưa, bầu, bí, khoai, sắn, mía,...; phát triển tốt ở Tây Hòa, Tuy An, Phú Hòa.
